Rayman Fiesta Run Review

While Rayman Jungle Run is simply a great bite-sized chunk of Rayman Origins on the go, Fiesta Run grabs the squeaky sausage baton and triumphantly flings the series to new heights. The second platform runner in the Rayman series is just as gorgeous as its predecessor, but now it truly feels like the full experience that Jungle Run only hinted at.

Fiesta Run's creative 2D food-themed levels not only make me hungry, but I consistently get a kick out of the silly, yet impressive zones. Some have Rayman swimming through ice-cold drinks complete with lime bouncy pads, while others comically shrink him down, forcing him to run over hot grills and the happiest sausage links you can imagine. Throughout it all, the controls remain responsive, and I appreciated their simplicity, as gameplay is all about timing Rayman's jumps, glides, and attacks. The 75 themed levels keep Fiesta Run feeling fresh, and they also help set it apart from other runners by providing distinct, enjoyable challenges rather than constantly running you through the same types of environments.
