Netflix now have a nice array of original programs, thanks to the launches this year of House of Cards, Hemlock Grove, Arrested Development, Orange is the New Black and more, and now the show that kicked things off for them in this arena is returning.
Today, Netflix announced Season 2 of Lilyhammer will debut on Friday, December 13th at 12:01am PT to Netflix subscribers in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. Per usual, Netflix will debut the entire season -- made up of 8 episodes -- all at once. The series stars Steven Van Zandt (The Sopranos - not to mention his time with Bruce Springsteen's legendary E Street Band) as Frank "The Fixer" Tagliano, a mob fixer who enters the witness protection program in Lillehammer, Norway. Season 2 continues with Frank living under the alias of Johnny Henriksen, a successful nightclub owner and father of two. But everything Frank cares for is threatened when his former mob associates find out he is still alive.
