Then turn on your Vita now, and download firmware update 3.00. Why? Because it prepares your PlayStation Vita for the imminent arrival of PlayStation 4, of course! Update 3.00's most important contribution is the PS4 Link icon, which can be found on the Vita's home screen following the firmware download.
