New Girl: "Coach" Review

This week's New Girl saw the long-awaited return of Coach, played by Damon Wayans Jr. Of course, this reunion couldn't have come at a worse time for Nick and Schmidt, who were still apparently mad at each other after Schmidt decided to move across the hall. But that didn't stop Coach from stealing every scene he was in. Right from the get-go, Wayans Jr. knocked it out of the park with an energy reminiscent of his days on the now-cancelled Happy Endings - and yet he also brought a certain antagonism to the group, one that was decidedly played for laughs, and to good effect.

For example, I loved how Coach didn't even remember who Jess was, completely forgetting the fact that they shared "some pretty big moments." ("SEAL Team Six, bitches!") Also amusing was Coach's nickname for Winston, "Shrimp Forks," due to Winston's tiny hands.
