At long last, Korra finally entered the Spirit World! And at longer last, Studio Mir made it's triumphant return -- and not a moment too soon, as this week's "A New Spiritual Age" easily boasted the most impressive visuals we've seen in Book Two thus far (excluding, perhaps, "Beginnings: Parts 1 & 2"). Here, we got our first in-depth look at the Spirit World since Avatar: The Last Airbender, and man was it breathtaking. From the sublime backdrops to the vibrant color palettes, everything just seemed to vibe in this yet-to-be-explored territory.
Presentation aside, though, this episode was packed with great story, and it wasn't long before we got a good sense of where "A New Spiritual Age" was heading. Not surprisingly, it only took about a minute for Korra to upset some spirits -- in this case, prairie dog spirits -- whereas Jinora had few problems adjusting to her new environment, instead focusing on the task at hand. Thus, a divide was made, leading our heroines down two very different paths. For Korra, this meant a spiritual journey to maximizing her inner light -- and who better to guide her than a certain "Dragon of the West," the original Iroh!
