Dota 2 Tops League of Legends, According to Raptr Sep 23rd 2013, 23:02, by Chris Pereira Dota 2 had more total players and total playtime than League of Legends during August, according to newly released data tracked by Raptr. Although neither title was the most-played during the month -- that distinction goes to the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops II -- Dota 2 did come in as the number two game, ahead of League of Legends, Rift, and World of Warcraft. It's not the first stretch of time Dota 2 has ever surpassed League of Legends during, according to Raptr, but with Dota 2 having been officially released in July, making it freely available through Steam to anyone who wants it, this may represent a shift in the free-to-play MOBA genre.
