Dota 2 'Diretide' Event Coming in Next Update Nov 9th 2013, 01:06, by Brian Albert Valve has announced that the Dota 2 Halloween event, Diretide, is coming in the next update. Diretide 2012 was Dota 2's first seasonal event, and it was well received by players. When Halloween rolled around this year, the event was nowhere to be seen, and Valve disappointed fans by saying nothing about its absence. "Whenever we make a significant mistake, we spend a bunch of time looking at what happened, why it happened, and how we can fix it," reads the Dota 2 blog. "We didn't ship a Diretide event this year, and you were rightly upset about it. That was clearly a mistake, and then we compounded the problem by not telling you what was going on."
