A few weeks back, Valve announced a brand new controller they will be producing called the Steam Controller. This isn't just your standard run-of-the-mill controller though, the Steam Controller features a revolutionary new design that could change the way we look at controlling our consoles for years to come. The controller features a brand new thumbstick design which Valve explained would be "Driven by the player's thumbs, each one has a high-resolution trackpad as its base."
The announcement of the controller was met with mixed reactions. While some showed tons of optimism for the new device, others were skeptical of its new design and adopted a "wait and see" approach; some even more upset that the announcement was unrelated to Half Life 3 (when will it finally be time!?). Last week, Valve sought to silence the critics by releasing a demonstration video detailing how the controller works in action. We wanted to know if your opinions of the device have changed, so we asked a few IGN All-Stars to give us their new impressions on the controller.
