Emile Hirsch to Star in John Belushi Biopic Oct 29th 2013, 03:44, by Lucy O'Brien Speed Racer and Savages star Emile Hirsch has been cast as John Belushi in Steve Conrad's upcoming untitled John Belushi biopic. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Conrad's script is based on the book Belushi by Belushi Pisano and Tanner Colby, and will approach the life of a comedian as an allegory for the "glory and tragedy" of the American dream. Belushi rose to fame on Saturday Night Live during the '70s before hitting it big in movies like Animal House and The Blues Brothers. He died of a drug overdose at 33. Continue reading…
