Pokémon X and Y Sells 4 Million Copies in 2 Days

Today, Nintendo revealed that Pokémon X and Pokémon Y combined to sell over four million units worldwide during its first two days on the market. The game launched on October 12th all over the world; therefore, sales are counted through October 14th.

Pokémon X and Y are extraordinary games – we gave both versions a 9.0 -- and the games' release promise to continue Nintendo 3DS' strong hardware sales. 3DS was the top-selling piece of hardware in the United States last month for the fifth consecutive month, and it's likely that, on the success of Pokémon X and Y, next month will be the sixth.
