Capcom Europe Will Cut More Than Half Its Staff

Following a difficult year, after several large titles failed to meet sales expectations, Capcom Europe has reportedly made plans to cut more than 50 percent of its staff.

"Following a restructure at its US operation, Capcom's European organization is currently evaluating its structure to ensure it is in the best position to take advantage of the changing market conditions the industry is facing," a Capcom spokesperson told MCV.

Capcom's 2013 titles, excluding those before its fiscal report of March 31, 2013, include Lost Planet 3 and Monster Hunter 4. Although Monster Hunter 4 sold as well as expected, Lost Planet 3 did not, and didn't garner as good of a critical reception.
