Just a week after director Michael Bay was assaulted by men brandishing an air conditioner, another Transformers: Age of Extinction crew member is the victim of attempted extortion. Apparently that sort of thing isn't unusual when Hollywood invades a Hong Kong nabe, though most times it takes the form of residents making annoying noises until they get paid to leave. It's not clear when swinging small appliances became part of the scam but now things have escalated a bit further:
"A government statement received overnight said a production company crew member was setting up on the roof of a building in Kowloon on Tuesday when four men 'intimidated her and asked for money.' She called police, who arrested a 35-year-old man. He's being held pending further inquiries. The three others are still wanted. The case has been classified as blackmail and a police anti-triad unit is investigating."
