Note: Full spoilers for the episode follow.
Crowley is back and as delightful as ever. Mark Sheppard can make any character the most charming and even when his jokes are terrible, you can't help but like him. And thankfully, the events at the end of last season seem to be worming around in Crowley's brain. There's no visible effect yet, but it's enough for now that it's there. I don't necessarily want to see him saved, so to speak, but it would be interesting if his breakdown changes his actions.
It certainly didn't alter them this week, though. He warns people with the whole "the Winchesters are just using you" bit too often. Of course, you can't blame him since it keeps working. But generally he's a more intelligent character. He could come up with a different spin.
