Romero Talks Empire of the Dead Oct 12th 2013, 22:39, by Melissa Grey At today's Cup O' Joe panel with Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada, we were given a glimpse at a few projects debuting in the coming months. Most notable was Empire of the Dead, launching in January 2014, written by George Romero with art by Alex Maleev. Romero himself was in attendance to field questions from fans about his latest take on the zombie apocalypse. The panel also included Marvel's EIC Axel Alonso, C.B. Cebulski, Gerry Duggan, Reilly Brown, Alex Maleev, and Tom Brevoort. First on deck was Deadpool: The Gauntlet, a new digital Infinite Comic written by Gerry Duggan, with Reilly Brown on art. The first issue lands December 2014 and will feature the Merc with a Mouth running amok with some vampires (because why not?). "When Deadpool breaks the fourth wall on a tablet, he sees your browser history," Duggan joked. "So keep it clean."
