Parks and Recreation: "Gin It Up!" Review Oct 18th 2013, 00:29, by Matt Fowler Warning: Full spoilers for the episode follow... "Upon my death all my belongings will transfer to the man or animal who has killed me." Oh, eight-year-old Ron Swanson. Such taciturn wisdom. "Gin It Up!" (which has to be the oddest title of Parks episode yet considering that not everyone is familiar with that particular idiom - and no one mentioned it either) featured Leslie getting "Jamm'd" over a Donna sex tweet, Ben convincing Ron to see a lawyer about estate planning, and the introduction of Orphan Black's Tatiana Maslany as Nadia, a doctor who instantly becomes the object of Tom's awkward affection. Maslany was enjoyable in the role, as it was refreshing to see her out of the life or death intrigue that regularly swallowed her whole on the excellent Orphan Black, but her part felt like that of Lucy Lawless' Diane. Meaning, a love interest who doesn't particularly have anything funny to say or do themselves, yet still causes funny situations to arise, usually making the goofy Parks team act even goofier.
