The Starz panel at New York Comic-Con this weekend showed off the cable network's upcoming pirates series "Black Sails," including a new trailer. Check out the preview below:
Black Sails comes from executive producer Michael Bay and will debut on Starz in January of 2014. Even though it hasn't aired yet, it's already gotten a greenlight for Season 2. Pirates, yo!
The premise of the series puts Captain Flint and his crew some 20 years before Robert Louis Stevenson's famed Treasure Island. Toby Stephens plays Flint, "the most brilliant and most feared pirate captain of his day, who takes on a fast-talking young addition to his crew who goes by the name John Silver." Together and with their men they must fight for survival for themselves as well as for New Providence Island (think the Deadwood of its day).
