Gone Home Updated With Developer Commentary Mode

Gone Home has been updated with a brand new Commentary Mode featuring insight from the development team at The Fullbright Company, Sarah Grayson (the voice of Sam), composer Chris Remo, and Corin Tucker from the Riot grrrl bands Heavens to Betsy and Sleater Kinney.

This free update presents the commentary in a similar manner as most Valve games do. Nodes appear around the house, and clicking on them will prompt a specific piece of audio that delves into a relevant bit of insight. I ran through the game again last night to listen to all of these, and was super happy with how it provided an amazing peek behind the development curtain that I wish more games would give us.

Coinciding with the Commentary Mode, Gone Home is currently on sale for 50% off for the next 48 hours if you buy it through Steam or The Fullbright Company's website. A great deal for a game that received a 9.5 when we reviewed it back in August.
