Director Zack Snyder said there was never any talk of cutting the Smallville tornado scene from Man of Steel in light of the recent deadly tornado in Oklahoma. The twister has been seen in many trailers and TV spots for the forthcoming Superman reboot.
"He's changed by those events," Snyder told Entertainment Weekly. "If anything, we feel like our Superman has a connection — not to make light of it — to the kind of grief that happens during those kinds of natural disasters. Also, in a sad way, even Superman can't change that."
