Bloodshot is the Valiant title that has had the hardest time gaining traction. It bounces around from being okay to good to great and then back to just okay. The last issue was fantastic which apparently means this issue has to dip in quality slightly. It's still good and is still the bloodiest of all the Valiant titles, but there's something lacking. It just doesn't click like the others.
Duane Swierczynski is a little behind Harbinger Wars, which takes some of the weight out of this story. Bloodshot faces off against some foes in a slaughterhouse and you know by the end of the issue he'll wrap things up thanks to Harbinger Wars #3 shipping before this issue. That said, if you are into bloody violence, you'll get your fill here. There are machetes and chainsaws used to great effect in these pages. Somehow, Bloodshot looks worse than he did at the end of the last issue. It's kinda gross.
