Another month, another awesome issue of Wonder Woman. Brian Azzarello continues to inch his story along, carefully setting pieces on the board and methodically moving them towards the inevitable end battle. Yes, this comic is a very slow burn, but if you like stories that seed and build, then you owe it to yourself to read Wonder Woman. You've been so good lately, you deserve it. Treat yourself.
The only place Wonder Woman suffers is in DC's rotating artist schedule. Well, "suffers" probably isn't the right word, because everyone who has been on this book has done fantastic work, and this issue is no exception. Cliff Chiang provides breakdowns for this issue, with Goran Sudzuka stepping in to assist on finishes for about two-thirds of the pages. The two work well together, and it never feels jarring or out of place when they switch up. Still, it'd be nice if DC would allow this book to have bit of extra time so it can be completed by a single artist.
