Nathan Edmondson has a lot going for him in that, since his debut in 2009, he has never put out a bad comic book. I'm glad to report that he has delivered yet another solid one for the masses to enjoy. As far as stories about dreams go, The Dream Merchant is less Neil Gaiman's Sandman and more Christopher Nolan's Inception. You won't find any deep exploration of the abstract nature of dreams using surreal storytelling techniques here. Instead, Winslow's recurring dreams are a MacGuffin that Edmonson has us following not because they're all that interesting, but because he uses them to drive a tense thriller.
