Since 2002, comic book retailers and publishers have been celebrating Free Comic Book Day, held the first Saturday of May at your local comic shop. Not only do publishers give away some great material for absolutely free, creators show up in droves to sign and sketch their hearts out. If you're a digital reader, Comixology will have books available on Saturday as well, and the website Comic Bin is offering a free three day trial of its Netflix-esque subscription service.
While there are a ton of great comics available for you to nab free of charge this Saturday, we picked out a few that we think should be first on your list.
