Sons of Anarchy: "The Mad King" Review

Sons of Anarchy typically has so many storylines in motion that it can feel like a train racing down the track and "The Mad King" was no exception. We are only five episodes in and things are as complicated as ever. Jax is never going to have a slow day, is he?

Although things were as tense and dangerous as usual, "The Mad King" had a thread of humor that leaked in now and then, lightening the mood. It was noticeable when Jax caught the Irish guy trying to escape, sarcastically asking him questions and then telling him, "I hope you're not a lefty" after stabbing his other hand. Where the lighter tone was most evident, and also most appreciated, was with Jax and Nero. Charlie Hunnam and Jimmy Smits have always had great chemistry. Anytime they are on screen together is good, but when they get a chance to joke around it is even better.
