"Mors Praematura," guest starring Fringe's Kirk Acevedo as an Estate Investigator trying to solve his foster brother's murder, acted as an exciting, invigorating "Part 2" to last week's excellent "Разговор." Not only did we follow the tenuous, temporary "partnership" between Root and Shaw (signed off by a well-deserved punch from Shaw once the mission was accomplished, naturally), but the mystery hacker group from "Nothing to Hide" returned, under the header Vigilance.

This episode also, for the fist time, gave shape to the wild possibilities that were teased in the Season 2 finale reveal when Root spoke to The Machine on the phone. We got a taste of Root's new semi-precog power (ala Phillip K. Dick's "The Golden Man," "Paycheck," and other works) back in "Lady Killer" when she escaped the asylum, but this story was on a whole new level.
