Person of Interest: "Lady Killer" Review

Warning: Full spoilers for the episode follow...

Much like the Season 3 premiere, "Lady Killer" *ahem* killed it with the Root stuff while providing an okay "number of the week" story. In fact, the best parts of the Southie-Made-Good story were, at first, the humor, and then the heart. Particularly Ian Murphy's (The Following's Warren Kole) slightly romantic interactions with Carter. In fact, I don't think we've ever heard her first name, Joss, mentioned so much in one episode.

But let's dive into the Root parts here, as they were definitely the most exciting. Amy Acker has been amazing in her scenes with Dr. Carmichael and the big payoff here was Carmichael actually discovering that Root's demented mind was right all along. It was sort of like when Dr. Silberman found out that Sarah Connor wasn't crazy in Terminator 2. So there he was, Dr. Carmichael, in the midst of a hallway full of downed bodies, watching Root fire a gun while she took orders from the "God voice" in her ear. And adding Hersh to the whole situation was great. Especially when she shot him without even looking.
