Far from being a simple lead-in to Dan Slott's big summer storylines, the current arc of Superior Spider-Man is rapidly developing into the strongest arc the series has offered so far. "No Escape" builds not just on material that has been brewing since the start of Superior, but threads that were laid out all the way at the beginning of Slott's Amazing Spider-Man run. I'm really happy to see Dan Slott and Christos Gage explore J. Jonah Jameson's lingering trauma after the death of his wife. The question of whether he'll give into his hatred for Alistair Smythe or stay true to Marla's dying wish has me more invested in this series right now than anything involving Otto Octavius or Peter Parker.
