Next-Gen NBA 2K14 Launching Day and Date with Xbox One, PS4 Jun 7th 2013, 01:00 Perhaps no one is happier about LeBron James making the NBA Finals to try for his second straight championship than 2K Sports, who announced the NBA MVP as its cover athlete for NBA 2K14, launching October 1 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. What's more interesting than the man on the box, however, was when IGN asked about Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions. 2K Sports Senior VP of Basketball Operations Jason Argent confirmed their availability and said, "We will be day and date launch titles for both of those platforms." That also means that the Xbox One and PS4 will not launch before October, and almost certainly not before October 8 (one week after NBA 2K14's current-gen release).
