Michael Bay Pirate Series Screening at Comic-Con Jun 21st 2013, 23:53 While it won't be debuting until 2014, Comic-Con attendees will have the chance to see Starz's upcoming pirate-themed series, Black Sails, early. The screening of the first episode will take place at SDCC on Thursday, July 18th. Additional details will follow, including special guests. Black Sails is executive produced by Michael Bay (Transformers, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor) along with his Platinum Dunes partners, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form. The series was created by showrunner and executive producer Jonathan Steinberg (Jericho, Human Target) and co-executive producer Robert Levine (Touch). Black Sails focuses on a young Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) and his crew, in a story set 20 years before Flint's adventures in Treasure Island. Continue reading…
