Warning: full spoilers for the episode follow.
What a relief, and joy, it is that these last few episodes of The Office have been a return to form. This week's "Livin' The Dream" was a strong follow-up to last week's "Paper Airplane." There was, once again, a strong balance between the characters with each one given a moment, or more, to shine. The Phyllis and Stanley Lil' Romeo mini-debate stands out as one of my favorite bits in the episode. It was really just a small exchange, but we so rarely get to see any additional flavor to their interpersonal dynamics in the work-place, so it was fun to imagine this as an ongoing argument between them.
Again, though, everyone was brought to the forefront, at least for an instant in this episode. Creed's confused mimicking of Dwight's exultant declaration of his managerial domination was the perfect period at the end of that sentence. Though I know many fans will continue to rail at them, Clark, Pete and Nellie all worked to support the comedy in the episode as the central players brought the heart, as well as a fair share of the humor.
