Thankfully, Nikita's twisty and teary Season 3 finale wasn't the show's last chapter but had it worked out that way it would be hard to go out on a stronger note than "Til Death Do Us Part". The episode had everything we've come to love and expect from this exceptional series: unrelenting action, shocking surprises and, most importantly compelling drama stemming from how much our heroes care for one another.
I completely bought the fact that Nikita didn't write a note or text someone or any or the other many ways she could have sent a cry for help to her friends. If it were her own life at stake she would but it's Michael hanging in the balance so no, she wouldn't risk it. She knows that to keep Michael safe she mustn't let him know that his death would free her from her horrific task. Sure enough, when Michael has the chance to lie to her about his own safety in order to prevent her from destroying her life by doing Amanda's dirty work, he takes it. There's is nothing they won't do for the other (swoon).
