Look, bro. If I could get away with it, this entire review for Hawkeye #10 would be a single wordless screech. This series is simply that well-written and delightfully inventive. Writer Matt Fraction and artist Francesco Francavilla have crafted an issue that defies the conventions of comic book storytelling while fitting it neatly into Hawkeye's overarching narrative.
The book's opening pages are a breathtaking splash of vibrant colors and creative paneling, two stylistic traits that are carried throughout the issue. The star of the show is Hawkeye the Younger, Kate Bishop, who crosses paths with a deceptively charming fellow with a dark past. The dialogue is snappy and cleverly paced and by the conversation's end, Kate proves why she is, in her own words, the hero of this story.
