EA has reported earnings today for the fourth quarter of its 2013 fiscal year (running from April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013) as well as the year as a whole. According to EA, net revenue for the 2013 fiscal year was $3.797 billion (down from $4.143 billion the year before), with $453 million earned from digital revenue in the fourth quarter (up from $419 million in 2012).
EA pointed to SimCity as a highlight, reporting 1.6 million copies sold to date. Regarding the game's problems during release week, EA labels president Frank Gibeau called it "a great game that has recovered from a challenging launch."
