Okay, so first off, let's start up a slow clap for the D.C. crowd last night on RAW...
Man, that was brutal. And so very beautiful. It's rare that I actually use the "music to my ears" idiom for non-musical things, but that "Boring!" chant was a sweet symphony.
So is Cena turning heel at 'Mania? Is this the moment we've been scratching at asylum walls over for years? I get that he sells a ton of merch. And that his work with the Make-A-Wish kids is legendary. But the man walked into an arena last night and got freakin' thunder-boo'd and lighting hiss'd. Cole tried to sell it as a split reaction right when Cena walked out on stage, but Lawler was quick to correct him, questioning the term "split." Now keep in mind that Cena is facing the one guy who will always trump him in the fan department. Turning Cena heel would be risky since these matches with The Rock are isolated incidents. The Rock will be gone soon and then the WWE will have to figure out what to do with a heel Cena. But I did like the little correction Cena made last night between saying "I" and "We." As in the difference in "MY time is now" and "OUR time is now." Mistake, or foreshadowing?
