The Aurora is your introduction to Star Citizen, so get to know it well. The entry-level, one-man ship is what you'll use to leave your homeworld and begin exploring. It is, as Cloud Imperium Games founder Chris Roberts puts it, a jack-of-all-trades. "It's modular enough that you can outfit it with a bigger hull for trading, or a tractor beam for piracy, or stronger guns for dogfighting," Roberts tells IGN. "And it's affordable: this is the first ship most players will pick up when they start the game."
Good thing it's as versatile and beautiful as it is: A pilot never forgets their first ship.
Aurora is " similar to the Tarsus in the original Privateer: Not as nice as the high end ships, but you'll have an emotional attachment to it, and it's sturdy enough to get you through serious scrapes," Roberts says. "You'll have better ships down the line, but you'll always look back on your Aurora as your ship.
