Thanos' origin story is not a mystery to seasoned Marvel readers. But with the character poised to take on a greater role in the Marvel Universe again, and star in at least one of Marvel Studios' film projects, it's not at all surprising to see a new mini-series dedicated to further fleshing out Thanos' early years. Thanos Rising continues Jason Aaron's shift into the cosmic realm that began with Thor: God of Thunder. Unfortunately, he doesn't find his footing with the Mad Titan as immediately as he did with Thor.
