Last month, we brought you word of what GameStop's computers said about Tales of Xillia's release date, and today, Namco Bandai has confirmed an official release date that was about a month off from GameStop's prediction
Gematsu reports that Tales of Xillia will launch on August 6th Stateside, exclusively for PlayStation 3. It's unclear what the publisher's plan is for its internally-developed RPG in Europe.
Sadly, Gematsu also points to a Kotaku article that seems to verify the worst concerning the possibility of the Tales games on Vita coming to the west. Tales of Innocence R and Tales of Hearts R are both Vita-centric remakes of Nintendo DS Tales games, and fans have been wondering if they'll ever be localized.
