Advance Review: We might as well begin with the most obvious complaint abut this series: the title. It's terrible. It's too long, cumbersome to write and say, doesn't shorten well and generally hinders one's impression of the show. Having said that, this really is a pretty decent half-hour comedy. Sarah Chalke (Scrubs) stars as Polly, a single mom who heads home to her parents, mom Elaine (Weeds' Elizabeth Perkins) and stepfather Max (Everybody Loves Raymond's Brad Garrett), hortly after leaving her irresponsible, but well-intentioned, husband.
It's a fairly basic premise playing on two things: One, the state of the economy, which has caused several families to condense their living quarters (read: financial strain has made it necessary for some folks to move in with their parents). Two, the near-to-mid-life career crisis that the aforementioned financial downturn has created for many adults. Polly finds herself working in a juice shop despite having an expensive and fancy degree. She return to roots wondering how to get back on track, and quickly becomes comfortable there.
