Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles began its midseason premiere with a bang, as we were reintroduced to Dr. Victor Falco -- this time voiced by the illustrious Steve Blum -- whose latest mutagen experiment transformed him into the psychic villain known as the Rat King.
Meanwhile, the Turtles were tasked with taking down Master Splinter in a very Matrix-like training exercise, in which Splinter quickly deflected each of his son's attacks -- that is, except for Leonardo's. For the first time, the Turtles actually claimed a victory against their master-level sensei (sort of), which boosted both their training and confidence. This also gave pause for Splinter, who clearly seemed to be shaken by his defeat.
