Shane Black on Iron Man 3's Maya Hansen Jan 29th 2013, 20:02 This summer's Iron Man 3 is shaping up to deliver a fun, but slightly different take on the Tony Stark we've seen in previous Marvel movies. Likewise, the film will introduce several new characters, including Rebecca Hall's Maya Hansen, who plays a big role in developing the film's Extremis technology. However, director Shane Black has made it clear that Hansen isn't just your run-of-the-mill sexy scientist. "It's one thing we loved about the comic book, which was that it's someone Tony meets in one capacity at one point in his life, and he proves to be touched by that encounter," the filmmaker told Empire Magazine (via ComicBookMovie.com).
