Today's BlackBerry Experience press event started with a piece of interesting news: the Research in Motion name is no more. From this day forward, the company behind BlackBerry smartphones shall be known simply as BlackBerry. But the real focus of the show was on the company's newest OS, BlackBerry 10, running on the company's new smartphones, the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10.
"Today represents a new day in the history of BlackBerry," said BlackBerry CEO, Thorsten Heins. "Two years ago we had to make a very serious decision: adopt someone else's platform or build a whole new one. We made the decision to go it alone."
