What's Next for the 3DS eShop

It's a good time to be a download fan. Physical cartridges continue to command the most attention and the biggest releases as we're moving into another new year, but the lines are being blurred more and more as several titles now cross over to offer both retail and digital buying options. And the 3DS eShop's exclusive, digital-only content continues to soar – we're coming off an incredibly strong 2012 for unique portable downloads on Nintendo's latest handheld, and 2013 is shaping up to be even stronger.

So let's take a look ahead, shall we? Here are our 10 3DS downloads that should already be on your radar as 2013 really begins to pick up steam.

We weren't entirely sure if this next pick would make it out of Japan after its initial announcement. Rhythm Hunter HarmoKnight seemed like the kind of game that could have missed out on localization and become the latest in a long line of Nintendo-published titles only available in the company's home country. Luckily, we got our localization confirmation late last year and now we're simply waiting for Tempo to arrive.
