Arrow: "Vertigo" Review

One thing about Green Arrow that's true in any medium is that he really doesn't have much in the way of a rogues gallery. He simply dips into the same pool a lot of street-level superheroes seem to share. Aside from Merlyn and Deathstroke, one of the only recurring villains to really be associated with Oliver Queen is Count Vertigo. He's a natural nemesis for our hero. After all, Ollie's skills as hero depend entirely on his concentration and focus. Vertigo can rob him of those skills with a glance.

So it is that Arrow finally introduced this villain into Ollie's rogues gallery after so many weeks of forgettable, one-off baddies. Unfortunately, outside of the Merlyn family and the silent but oh so deadly Deathstroke, the villains have regularly been the weak link on this show. Vertigo's introduction as "The Count did nothing to change that.
