Amidst the pomp and grandeur of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at this year's Tokyo Game Show, there was a small game called Constant C hidden in a nook of the Microsoft booth that proved that you don't need futuristic technology and teams of hundreds to create an interesting experience.
A port of a PC game that was released earlier this year, Constant C is a 2D puzzle-platformer coming to XBLA by the end of 2013. Like many of its fellow interactive brain teasers, Constant C is going to live or die on the back of its hook. Thankfully, the small slice I got to play was built around an interesting core concept that I could absolutely see evolving wonderfully throughout the final product.
