One of the big themes that this final season of Burn Notice has been trying to sell us on is the idea of Michael having split loyalties. And so far, I haven't really taken the bait. Nothing I've seen has convinced me that Michael would ever side with James if it came down to a decision between being loyal to James' League of Shadows and staying with his friends and completing the mission. No matter how much Sam and Fi would bitch "You're changing and you don't even see it." In fact, the extreme measures that Michael had to go through last week when he killed Steele should have erased any good feelings (if they existed) he might have had toward James and Sonya. Especially considering how Sonya wanted to take out an entire base full of innocent people.
