Yes, August 28th marks the 20th anniversary, to the day, that Mighty Morphin Power Rangers began airing with the premiere episode, "Day of the Dumpster." A cheaply made series that incorporated previously shot Japanese footage with American footage, there was no reason to think Mighty Morphin Power Rangers would be the hit it was – but it turned out the series was just what kids everywhere were waiting for, becoming one of the biggest success stories of the 1990s. 20 years later and there have been a never-ending barrage of Power Rangers toys, 2 feature films and an ever-evolving TV series which, several title changes in, now has had over 750 episodes.
