Vin Diesel Originally Met with Marvel for a New Phase Three Franchise Aug 28th 2013, 02:00, by Lucy O'Brien We've known for a while now that Vin Diesel will likely be starring as the tree-monster Groot in Marvel's upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie, and today the actor confirmed plans to do motion capture for the character alongside voice-work, although an official announcement from the studio is yet to drop. What was most interesting, however, was the further revelation that Diesel originally met with Marvel to discuss the possibility of starring in a new film that would potentially launch Marvel's Phase Three.
