I went into Movie 43 thinking it would be pretty bad be based on the trailers, but despite this, I was hoping it could at least deliver some decent laughs. After all, I thought the first Scary Movie was hysterical at the time. But this? Nothing could have prepared me for just how terrible this experience would be. I really hoped it would prove me wrong and plant a smirk on my face, but there is quite literally nothing redeeming about this movie.
I know it's trying to be edgy or offensive with its content, but it's not and it covers jokes we've seen handled better a gazillion times before. It's a comedy that isn't funny. It's unoriginal. I kept checking my watch to see how much longer I had to sit in the theater.
