With a title like "Loss," it was a safe bet that this week's Green Lantern episode was going to be marked by tragedy and hardship for our heroes. And it certainly didn't disappoint in that regard. Anyone who felt the conflict with the Anti-Monitor and his Manhunters was progressing too slowly should be satisfied with the way "Loss" amped up the pacing and brought real consequences to Season 1.5.
It was pretty obvious from the start that Razer and Aya would be at the center of this week's tragedy. Their troubled relationship has been a major focus in the past several weeks, and Razer's quiet reflection on his former life set the tone for this episode in its early moments. With the reformed Red Lantern finally ready to confess his feelings for Aya, it stood to reason that something would crop up to ruin the moment. And that something was the Anti-Monitor.
