Despite not being sold in the auction of THQ's assets that took place on January 22, it seems there's still a sliver of hope for the Darksiders franchise.
While SEGA, Koch Media, Crytek, Take-Two and Ubisoft all purchased various intellectual property and studios that once belonged to THQ, no one stepped forward to buy Vigil Games or Darksiders at the auction, meaning things looked pretty bleak.
As a result, the game's lead designer Haydn Dalton took to Twitter to lament what seemed to signify the end of his studio, particularly with regard to what the team had planned for Darksiders III.
