Apple TV Updated with Bluetooth Keyboard Support, iTunes Music Streaming

Hot on the heels of today's iOS 6.1 update, Apple has introduced new software for the Apple TV, adding support for Bluetooth keyboards and iTunes streaming from the cloud. On the surface the update may seem minor, but it yields welcomed utility and expanded content offerings for Apple TV users.

With Bluetooth keyboard support, the latest software stands to vastly improve text entry, which was previous relegated to character-by-character entry on the standard remote or the on-screen keyboard of Apple's companion app for iOS. With the expansion of the device's music capabilities, users now have the option to browse and stream all of the music they've purchased through iTunes, whereas previously the device only offered only home sharing via a networked Mac or PC.
